Teletext

Back in the 80′s, when I received my first computer, a Commodore 64, I started playing games and became fascinated about creating graphics myself. In the 1980′s there was no internet available to the general public, the world wide web wasn’t born. I did not have a personal computer with graphics software and JPEG and PNG files were not available like they are today. Nowadays you can find samples of graphics and tutorials how to get started making these via youtube. The only way I was able to create sprites was with a pencil, a piece of paper with rasters and the C64 programming skills I had back then. I was not skilled enough to create my own designs. What I did was converting the existing teletext graphics via a piece of paper to C64 sprites.
